Requirements & Skills
- Current certification as a Cath Lab Technologist (CCTV, RCIS, or equivalent)
- Proficient in operating and maintaining cath lab equipment and technologies
- Strong knowledge of cardiovascular anatomy, physiology, and diagnostic procedures
- Ability to assist physicians during diagnostic and therapeutic procedures
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented setting
- Adherence to infection control and safety standards
- Detail-oriented with strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain the catheterization laboratory and equipment for each procedure
- Assist cardiologists and other healthcare professionals during cardiac catheterization and interventional procedures
- Monitor patients’ vital signs and provide necessary support during procedures
- Perform diagnostic imaging and interpret preliminary findings under physician supervision
- Ensure strict adherence to radiation safety protocols and infection control guidelines
- Document procedural details accurately and timely in patients’ medical records
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment in the cath lab
Qualifications
- Associate degree or higher in Cardiovascular Technology or related field preferred
- Certification as a Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) or equivalent required
- Minimum of 1-2 years experience in a cardiac catheterization laboratory setting preferred
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and in emergency situations
Compensation
Competitive hourly rate between $75.00 - $89.00, with weekly pay through Quick2Hire staffing agency.
